rage
rage first went to air on ABC TV on the weekend of 17 April 1987, and the first video it ever played was Weirdo Libido by Sydney's Lime Spiders, followed by the Beastie Boys. This channel opens with those same two clips, then plays videos documented as aired on rage, mostly from rage's own published playlists: INXS, Kylie, Midnight Oil, Crowded House, Nick Cave, silverchair, Powderfinger, You Am I, Regurgitator, Spiderbait and the Living End next to the international clips of the era, with genuine off-air rage tape in between, including the opener and the guest programmer segments. The ABC never ran ads, so every 5-10 videos you get ABC idents and rage promos, mixed with the Aussie ads you'd have seen flicking over to commercial TV: Vegemite, Louie the Fly, Tim Tams, VB, Paddle Pop.
An unofficial fan tribute. Not affiliated with rage, the ABC or its owners.
